Dirty Martini Shots

Dirty Martini Shots

It’s ALMOST Halloween! It feels like it snuck up on me, but I think that happens every year. It’s supposed to be chilly this weekend, so I’ll be curled up on my couch watching a few scary movies and eating a bowl of chili (which I talked about here). I’m thinking of starting with some actual scary movies and then ending it on a lighter note with either Monster’s Inc. or Monster’s University. I don’t have any idea what I’ll start with considering that I don’t own very many horror films, but I’m sure they’ll be something good on television that night. While I’m watching, I’ll definitely have to have a cocktail so it’ll either be one of these, these, or these dirty martini shots.

Dirty Martini Shots

These shots are just a smaller version of a dirty martini – nothing too fancy, and things you probably already have in your bar. You can either shoot these or sip on them (like I do) and really enjoy the flavors. Just shake up some good (it counts here!) gin, vermouth, and a bit of olive juice and it’s the perfect companion to any scary movie. Speaking of scary, how creepy are these shot glasses? My mom picked them up during her last trip to California (I think she bought them in Cayucos?) and said I needed to use them for Halloween. Because of their shape, I thought a shot version of a martini would be best, and the olive juice was kind of a given.
