Vodka Apple Cider With Basil

Vodka Apple Cider With Basil

I can’t tell you how much I love short work weeks. It’s been hectic, that’s for sure, but I can’t wait to get home early today, pour myself a cocktail, and work on some projects that I need to get done and watch holiday movies (Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is on track for Thursday). I won’t be spending Thanksgiving with my family this year, it’ll just be Cooper, my cat, and me, but I have lots to do; finishing decorating for Christmas being a priority on top of a myriad of other things, so I’ll be quite busy. And even though I won’t get turkey or a traditional dinner, I still have this (frozen) green bean casserole and I’ll be getting some bread to make a small portion of sausage and sage stuffing, so I’ll be set.

In my family, the holidays aren’t the same without a great cocktail, so that will also definitely be added to my small menu. While I plan on making one of these on Friday while I decorate, today and tomorrow I’ll be drinking this vodka apple cider with basil. The basil makes it incredibly fresh, while the apple cider is completely all about fall. This is one of my new favorite drinks and I can’t wait to be sipping it while getting ready for my absolute favorite time of year.
