Bourbon Cherry Fizz

Bourbon Cherry Fizz

It’s Friday and it’s almost summer. In Charlotte, that means it’s getting hot outside and the humidity is beginning to kick in – something that is not my favorite, but the last few days have been absolutely perfect. Breezy, high 70s, and not a cloud in the sky – the kind of days that beg you to stay outside. It’s so great that the other night, when I went to dinner at a friend’s place, we we’re outside the majority of the time. While the beers and glasses of rosé were perfect, I think this bourbon cherry fizz would have been amazing as well.

Bourbon Cherry Fizz

I love cherry and berry anything (obviously), so when I saw cherries at the store the other week, I had to pick some up. I’ve been wanting to make a cherry lemonade or a cherry fizz for the longest time so this was the perfect opportunity. I picked up some cherry seltzer in the store and already had a plethora of limes at home so I mixed one up as soon as I got home. It’s a drink that reminds me of summer and I’m sure I’ll be drinking one of these (or one of those cherry beers slushies – seriously, if you haven’t tried it yet, you must!) anytime I can get my hands on cherries at the store throughout the season.

Hope you have a great weekend!
