So, I was a little M.I.A. last week. I blame the Panther’s loss (you could feel the sadness in Charlotte that day), but I also needed a mini-break. I’ve been so busy the past few weeks that I haven’t even really had a chance to cook. I’m back on schedule, and while I normally post a cocktail on Wednesdays, I thought I’d post this marshmallow treat milkshake. It’s filled with caramel sauce (I used my own recipe which I will be posting soon, promise! But store bought is just fine for this), ice cream, and marshmallow treats. I made these the last time I posted, and because I cut them out into hearts, I had a lot of scraps leftover. I decided to put those to good use instead of throwing them away, and whipped up this shake. It’s so delicious.
In other news, and I’m sure you’ve seen it on Instagram, but recently I was featured in the magazine, Where Women Cook, for one of my cocktails (I posted it back in October 2014). It was a gorgeous 4 page spread, and my first-ever magazine feature. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I was when I held it in my hands and flipped through to the article. It was an awesome experience and I’m incredibly honored to have been featured among the many talented women in that magazine.
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Caramel sauce
- Marshmallow treats (this recipe without the chocolate - I used the scraps leftover from cutting them out)
- In a blender, combine the ice cream, milk, and a generous drizzle of caramel sauce. Blend until almost smooth. Add the marshmallow treats and blend again for a minute or so (you still want chunks of them in the milkshake).
- In a glass, drizzle some of the caramel sauce on the sides then pour in the milkshake. Top with more marshmallow treats and serve immediately.
