Kumquat, Orange, and Lime Coolers

Kumquat, Orange, and Lime Coolers

I had a couple days off last week which was so nice. I went to my parent’s house and then headed to the mountains with my mom and we had a great time. By the time we got there, though, we learned that the snow storm was quickly coming our way and was going to leave 10-20 inches in its path. Even though we were snowed-in for a few days, it was so nice to not have to be anywhere or do anything. Even though I missed a snow day at work (that would happen when I actually took the day off), it was worth it as we really did have a great time. I got back to Charlotte on Sunday – snow was still everywhere – just in time for the Panther’s game. I mixed up one of these kumquat, orange, and lime coolers to pre-game, and settle in and watch the game. Which, by the way, I’m so excited they won!

Even though the weather is a little dreary lately, these cocktails (as well as these that I made last week!) always put a little sunshine in the day. They’re bright and quenching and are super simple to mix up. Kumquats have been in pretty much every store I’ve been in lately, but if you can’t find them, just using orange juice is fine.
