Holiday Home Tour 2015

Merry Christmas Eve! Just like last year, I’m giving you a little peek inside of my apartment for the holidays. This place has definitely been my favorite so far to decorate – lots of light and space…and I was finally able to get a pretty large tree! My mom helped me out tremendously – she did most of the greenery in the house and helped me out big time with styling my bookshelves. I can’t believe I’ll have to take these decorations down in a week or two, but I’ve been loving having them up!

And because I’m nosy and love hearing what other people are having for the holidays, I thought I’d share some of my family’s food plans. Tonight we’re having Chinese food that I couldn’t be more excited about. Tomrorow we’re having abalone (sent from my Aunt!) and a big roast beef dinner with all the trimmings. And Santa will have no shortage of sweets since my mom made candy cane cookies and mexican wedding cakes, and she and I made rainbow cookies. The day after Christmas, I’ll be making Tartine’s sourdough bread to use for sandwiches for prime rib sandwiches. I made the starter a couple of weeks ago and have been regularly feeding it so I’m hoping it turns out great.

I’ll be back here Monday with a new post- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

My Aunt made one of these for both my mom and me. We lost our family dog over Thanksgiving, and she sent these for us shortly after. It’s filled with costume jewelry from my grandma and great grandma and the cameo is actually something she wore on her bridesmaids dress at my parent’s wedding. It has so many special meanings and is something I look forward to putting out each Christmas.

  1. Whoa. You and your mom should seriously consider renting yourselves out as interior decorators, especially at the holidays. I’d hire you! I don’t dare share pictures of my house for fear of embarrassing myself. I just found the tree skirt today and there are precisely 4 ornaments on the tree. *hangs head in shame* Merry christmas!

    1. Hahah thanks, wish we could! But the tree you posted on Instagram was gorgeous – I’m sure the rest of your place looks awesome too! 🙂 Hope you had a GREAT Christmas!!
